Doug’s photography journey began in the 1970s, capturing the energy and excitement of live concerts—a genre that has remained a personal favorite throughout his career. Over the years, he’s had the opportunity to photograph some of the biggest names in rock, including Lynyrd Skynyrd, STYX, Ted Nugent, Molly Hatchet, The Marshall Tucker Band, Journey, The Doobie Brothers, Judas Priest, and many more. He’s also worked with individual artists like Rickey Medlocke of Lynyrd Skynyrd, whom Doug first photographed for Rickey’s large acting and modeling portfolio back in 2000 when he was pursuing a side gig in film. Other notable subjects include Cliff Williams and Brian Johnson of AC/DC, and Dave Ellefson, formerly of Metallica. Along the way, Doug has also captured countless local bands, giving each one his full dedication in support of their rise to stardom. No matter the level of fame, Doug is committed to showcasing the best qualities of every artist he works with, earning a reputation as a highly sought-after musician photographer.

Beyond his photography skills, Doug also brings his creative talents to the world of graphic design, contributing to CD packaging and promotional materials for bands. This additional service has become an essential part of his offerings, further enhancing the creative experience for his clients.
